with no regrets,
some thoughts are worth repeating out loud
when an action is needed,
to be held accountable
a heavy load off the heart
afloat, on the anticipation alone
a butterfly carelessly fluttering by,
aimlessly
foolishly out
'i hope it is not just me',
but i know, a fools desire
and it is just me

I have been cleaning up and rearranging my working space at home lately, and of course it's been fun and rewarding.
I particularly like when something lost to time has been found again, to be rediscovered and re-experienced. This is exactly how I feel when I go over photos taken over the years. I pick a folder with a random year, month and see what I had forgotten and ignored. To be reminded, of the work still left to complete. I find myself at the beginning again, and I had thought I was at the end.
I have been doing the same to my website. Refreshing a few things here and adding a few new things there.
And reading over my old entries has been quite the trip down memory lane, and it's been very positive and eye-opening. A sort of meditating, brainstorming session. Valuable now, as I consider what I want to say on print.

I started working with strobes more since starting shooting film and lately I have been using my old kit lens from my Canon Rebel XSi. Unfortunately the kit lens from my Canon 80D, the 18-135mm one, stopped focusing last year, and so I had to bring the Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS out from retirement lol
I mainly shoot it wide open at f/3.5, f/5 or f/5.6, which will depend on the distance used. And the bokeh effect has been impressive to say the least. Regardless of what you think regarding equipment, at the end of the day, the artist / photographer is the one who makes the image, not the camera.
Whatever you used, learn everything about it and find your way in making it work.
