Mamiyaflex Automat A || Olympus Zuiko F.C. 75mm f/3.5 • Ilford Delta 3200 (D76 1:4 pulled processed to 400)
_____
So I did some pull processing and experimented with Ilford 3200 film this past week. I also tried three new different developers, Tmax Developer, Rodinal, and WD2D. Here I pulled the entire roll to 400 iso, i.e. I intentionally over-exposed the negative and "corrected" the exposure by "pulling" the development time and diluting the developer, but I developed this first roll with the standard D-76.
This was taken with my Mamiyaflex Automat A. Looking over this image, I love the softness of the background in relations to the sharpness in the foreground. I can see that the overall negative is sharp, but not in the center where the light contrast is the strongest. I like it either way because of the strong separation between tones and the blurring by the center, near the branches.
I was concern a bit before shooting, because I had to clean the back taking element lens with tooth paste and a cleaning solution that I googled online (4 parts water and 1 part mixture of half hydrogen peroxide and half ammonia). It was molding a bit, and after some extensive cleaning and patience, I managed to get a lot of it cleaned, but it kept a slight haze/fog. I was concerned that it would effect the negative poorly, but even if you disagree on the quality, I am loving the results.
Let me know what you think!
